Virgin Radio....

In April 2008 DTAT's singer, Paul Baker entered the band for a competition ran by Virgin/Absolute radio. The idea was to reunite a group of musicians that had long since split up and give them one final hurrah in front of 40,000 people with a support slot to Eric Clapton at the Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde park on June 28th. The members of DTAT had gone their seperate ways some 20 years previously, but had always felt that they could and should have gone further. The competition not only reunited the band, but also gave them significant national exposure during May 2008 as they norrowly missed out on the main prize by public vote on Christian O'Connell's breakfast show at the beginning of June.

The wind is now blowing behind DTAT once again, the competition giving the band the springboard to relaunch their career and an imminent single release could give them the success that was so deserved in the 80's. Listen to how the competition unfolded here......
